Laura Gough of Needmore Quilts loves envisioning the possibilities with fabric, especially Batiks, because of their vivid, yet subtle colors and the rich variety of patterns created on these fabrics. Much of her inspiration comes from nature and the everyday life on her farm in south‑central Pennsylvania. After twenty years as a traditional quilter, she began experimenting with new techniques in a desire to express her artistic creativity. Discovering the freedom of working without patterns and relying instead on her imagination has brought her deep joy and a renewed sense of creative fulfillment.
